2013-Honda-Civic-Sedan-23

Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE ) II Body Structure
The Civic’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) II body structure is a Honda-exclusive body design that enhances occupant protection and crash compatibility in frontal collisions. The ACE design utilizes a network of connected structural elements to distribute crash energy more evenly throughout the front of the vehicle. This enhanced frontal crash-energy management helps to reduce the forces transferred to the passenger compartment and can help to more evenly disperse the forces transferred to other vehicles in a crash.

Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD)
The anti-lock braking system (ABS) uses a special modulator to pulse the brakes to help prevent wheel lockup. This helps the driver retain steering control when braking hard. The Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) system balances the braking forces at each wheel according to how the car is dynamically loaded.

Daytime Running Lights (DRL)
The Civic enhances its visibility to others by incorporating Daytime Running Lights (DRL) up front.

Dual-Stage, Multiple-Threshold Front Airbags (SRS)
The Civic is equipped with dual-stage, multiple-threshold front airbags (SRS). One or both of these airbags will be deployed only in the event of a sufficient frontal impact. If deployed, these airbags are capable of being inflated at different rates depending on crash severity, seat-belt usage and/or other factors. Frontal airbags are designed to supplement the seat belts to help reduce the likelihood of head and upper body injuries in frontal crashes.

Front 3-Point Seat Belts with Automatic Tensioning System
All front and rear seating positions have 3-point seat belts that ride across the lap and chest to help restrain occupants during sudden stops or impact. The front seats feature an automatic tensioning system.

SmartVent Front Side Airbags
In the event of a moderate-to-severe side impact, the SmartVent™ side airbag is designed to deploy and inflate quickly to maximize potential protection for properly seated occupants. This helps to protect the driver’s or front passenger’s upper body from injury, or vent before fully inflating if an occupant is in the side airbag deployment path, thereby decreasing the likelihood for an airbag-related injury.

Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren (LATCH): Lower Anchors (2nd-Row Outboard), Tether Anchors (2nd-Row All)
The rear seats feature the LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) mounting system for use with compatible child seats.

Side Curtain Airbags with Rollover Sensor
To help reduce the likelihood of head and neck injuries for outboard occupants in side collisions, all Civic models feature side curtain airbags with a rollover sensor. The side curtain airbag module is positioned along the side of the headliner. In the event of a sufficient side impact, this system will activate to help provide protection for both front and rear outboard passengers.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
This system monitors the pressure in all four tires and alerts the driver when pressure in any tire becomes significantly low

To sum it up, when buying a new 2013 Honda Civic Sedan it is surely worth the money. It gives you the top-notch convenience and comfort plus the unbeatable performance & fuel efficiency and lastly, the top of the line safety it gives to the passengers.
