The new Subaru Forester is out and on the go. This new model is a good collection for their group. The new Subaru is the proof, in times of hardship all those past years, the Subaru’s self-belief remains in one piece.

Looking at this first time around, you would think that it is the same. The fourth generation of Forester looks so similar from the previous one. But you are wrong, everything from the new generation are new. When you put the two cars side-by-side with each other, you can see a whole lot of difference between the 2 of them.

The new car is taller than the previous by 2 millimeters, wider by 15 millimeters and longer by 35 millimeters. The wheelbase has even increased its wheelbase by 25 millimeters and the base of the windscreen is sifted forward. Every upgrade and refinements give the new model a chunkier and bolder look from the older model.

The Subaru Forester’s strengths have always been its off-road ability and it has a very spacious interior.
The suspension and the body of the new model are stiffer than the outgoing car’s. But it is inconsistently weighted at higher speeds. Things improve as the speed builds. Better standard equipment, cleaner engines.

The front pillars and the dashboards are now been moved forward to provide extra cabin space. The head and legroom in the front is very nice and generous, the seats can be adjusted to the position you are comfortable in.

Standard kit on the 2.0D X includes 17-inch alloy wheels, a CD player, Bluetooth, a USB connection, air-con, heated front seats and hill-start assist. Very cool kits right? It also comes with automatic wipers and lights, a rear-view camera, cruise and climate controls, electric front seats and one-touch folding rear seats. Those are very awesome equipments.

Tires and wind noise are very minimal to have fewer distractions, helping to keep things civilized. The smaller 148bhp boxer is more refined choice, because it is smooth and more importantly quieter.

Adding the Lineartronic CVT gearbox (restricted to petrol models), brings CO2 emissions lesser by 150g/km which is very helpful to the environment. Although the engine causes to transmit a louder noise when it is accelerated, but it is better because it reduces the CO2 emissions to the environment.

Paddle shifters come all in automatic transmissions, although it works better with the 237bhp turbo petrol. Its fuel economy is average which put offs a lot of buyer. Other competitors of the Subaru Forester are very also very good and cheaper, manage more miles to gallon and emits less CO2 but if you really value serious off-road ability, then the Subaru is one of your best options, and it makes a financial sense.
