Six years ago, the Toyota company proved to the market their vehicle’s worth. They can come up with not just one, but two class leading multi-purpose vehicles when they launched the celebrated Toyota Avanza. Now, it has been re-launched last January 2012. Why so? In Malaysia, and has been the most sought-after car (last 2004) which made it to be the most selling non-national car from 2005-2007 and has been sold in excess of 140,000 units since the end of 2011.

The new family face of Toyota, the Avanza looks more refined, bit by bit, than its predecessors with its windows more emphasize to elevate the visual aspect of the occupants. Its storage capabilities are one of a kind, when put into a test its storage capabilities, it coped well easily with a small family trip, it can accommodate all necessary luggage.
The All-new Avanza had it shape reworked for a modern look, to bring about the taste of the modernity, together with the line of the expensive models of the Toyota family. The side profile has been altered a bit, with a forward raked rear windscreen and tail lamps that wrap around the rear end a little bit. One may say that it resembles the Volvo from the rear.
The interior of this new MPV is rather a surprise; Toyota seemed to put more importance upon its interior design, making the cabin more premiums looking in the budget line up of the MPV/AUV category. The color scheme of the 1.5 g line model has that predominantly beige interior with dark gray and some faux silver trim pieces. It resembles some sports car of a highly expensive company but being mpv is rather evident. The seats are much softer compared the first generation model.
The Avanza offers two engines whose availability is only the 1.3 liter and the 1.5 liter. The 1.3 liter engine is available with 5-speed manual transmission which will set your engine on about 63,864 (otr + ins). Under the hood, the Avanza the 1.5s lies a 3sz-ve engine, instead of what many initially thought was the 1nz-fe found in the Vios, which provides about 105bhp at 6,000rpm and 136 nm of torque at 4,400rpm. The Toyota Avanza has loose much weight which is due to the use of high-tensile steel for a more rigid chassis.

For modernity’s sake, the all-new Toyota Avanza is a choice when it comes to a family AUV/MPV. It fits exactly to everybody’s wallet, making it the best choice for families.
