Cebu Bloggers Society Inc. (CBSI) will turn five this coming February 14, 2013 and to mark its five (5) years as Cebu’s premier blogging organization. An “Appreciation Night” will be celebrated by the group on Friday, February 15, 2012 at Harold’s Hotel.
Harold’s Hotel is the official venue partner of the 2013 Appreciation Night. It’s a newly opened hotel located in Gorordo Avenue, 7-10 minutes walk to Ayala Center Cebu.
The hotel is approximately 40-50 minutes from Mactan Cebu Airport, 5 minutes to Lahug area, 15 minutes to SM Cebu, 7-10 minutes to Fuente area, and 20-30 minutes to downtown Cebu City.
Harold’s Hotel has 90 guest rooms, all rooms having complimentary WIFI internet.
The Cebu Bloggers Society Inc. appreciation night 2013 will highlight the group theme “ACT Now”, also members and partners recognition who made sufficiently great contribution to the success of the organization.
In order to keep the bloggers prowess during the event high-speed internet will be provided and it is powered by SMART Communications the countries leading provider in wireless services.
Cebu Bloggers Society was founded last 2008. In 2010 its been registered under Securities and Exchange Commission as a non-profit organization. By then, onwards the group successfully organized various events, such as:
- US Election Watch in 2008
- Computer literacy program in Pinamungahan, Cebu in 2010
- Visayas Blogging Summit in November 2011
- 1st Social Media Day in June 2012
- 1st World Blogathon in December 2012
As of this date CBSI already have 53 registered members with blogs in different niches. Spearheaded by Mr. Ruben Licera Jr. as President, Miss Nancy Cudis as Internal Vice President, and Mr. Bjorn Bernales as External Vice President. Lead together with the same goal, to continue promoting Cebu through the power of blogging and social media.
