Cebu Brings 2 Car Shows in 1 Day: the Cebu Auto Show and the Shell Ferrari F1 Exhibit

I attended two displays of awesome cars last August 5, 2012, a Sunday. Though the heat and humidity was a bit unbearable, I came to withstand the weather condition so I can get lots of glimpses and snapshots of the brilliant and wonderful cars on display.

The first stop I made was at the Cebu International Convention Center, where the 3-day Cebu Auto Show was held. That Sunday was the last day and that I wouldn’t want to miss that event.

[xyz-ihs snippet="POSTADS"]Many vehicles there were stunning, from the vintage cars to the recent Chevrolet Colorado. Perhaps, closer to a hundred cars were on display. Most of them were not up for grabs though. The owners of those cars showed their generosity by lending their prized automobiles in that event.

I like big brute yet shiny cars. There is this thing about pick-up trucks and SUV’s, elegantly designed, that speaks of masculinity yet sophistication. And the Chevrolet is just among the coveted cars on my list this year. However, there is also a car that would fit to a car enthusiast and that is the BMW convertible car, on display in aquamarine color.

BMW is a definition of complexity, sophistication and style. Vanity would also fit into that description. Though it may seem offensive, I would want to point it out in a good way because, really, BMW is for those people who want to look good/
I also stumbled upon the likes of Mustang, BMW vintage cars, Roadster and even the Honda racing cars. But I think the car that would probably beat them is the Porsche one, displayed in Mobil.

I have many things to share on my experience at Cebu Auto Show. However, getting them into one post would lead this article into a boring stuff, so I will spare you much of the petty details.

Now after the CICC show, I went to Ayala Center Cebu to wonder on the Ferrari F1 car on display at the mall’s Activity Center.

I was invited for a Shell event, which would be a privilege on my part last Saturday a day prior. However, the tour was cut short because I needed to attend another meeting. It hindered me to take pictures of that race-quality car. And yes, it was a Ferrari.

I believe my colleague Ryan here accounted his experience on the Ferrari F1.
Just the start of August and Cebu Auto Blog was already privileged to witness car show events in Cebu.

And what does this mean?

One thing for me that I can say for certainty and that is that the market in Cebu for cars is increasing. I don’t have the right figures to show though, so that statement would still be considered an inference.
