A storied Acura NSX by Honda being unveiled in Detroit auto show, a greener, likely fiercer and sleeker sports car been seen when the cover wraps off.

Acura NSX Hybrid Concept powered by Acura’s Sport Hybrid SH-AWD (Super Handling All Wheel Drive) technology, a direct-injection, mid-mounted V-6 engine, and dual-clutch transmission. The all-wheel drive system can deliver instant negative or positive torque to the front wheels when rounding corners, according to the company.

Honda doesn’t release much information yet about the concept car but only promised that the NSX will create handling performance unmatched in AWD cars.

“In this new era, even as we focus on the fun-to-drive spirit of the NSX, I think a supercar must respond positively to environmental responsibilities,” Honda President and CEO Takanobu Ito said in a release.

While this gorgeous beast is just a concept for now, it’s close to production. The company said it will be developed by Honda R&D Americas, manufactured in Ohio, and will debut in the next three years.

Meanwhile, you can catch Tony Stark driving a convertible version in the upcoming film “The Avengers.”
