Autonomous vehicles are almost on the way wither you like it or not. General Motors already conducted series of studies towards integrating it to the world of transportation networks. A long with its development and as an integral part of it, driver assistance systems according to General Motors already begun to look at drivers behavior behind the wheels of self driving vehicles and innovations like the Cadillac semi-autonomous Super Cruise which is designed to ease the drivers workload on the highway, but of course it will be good to know what drivers planning to do to occupy their time.

As far as findings are concerned it’s been so far considered that “Keeping Awareness” still the main key to autonomous vehicle operation which in turn going back to basics in using your senses. In addition with their assessment is that it will increase driver attentiveness through the help of the advanced driver assistance and safety features. Because the more your car does for you, the more it will need to be able to do in order to ensure everyone’s safety.

The mentioned driver aids will be available on the 2013 Cadillac ATS model and the coming 2014 XTS. By moving forward towards to achieve a close to perfect model self driving cars, you can start predicting that it won’t be that long to see it in action.
