Magna Steyr to build the 2014 Infiniti compact car
According to Automotive News Nissan will turn to Magna Steyr inorder to build a new entry level Infiniti compact car for the coming 2014. The Australian automaker will assemble this vehicle to be part of the luxury brand’s efforts targeting to grow in western Europe and the rest of other global markets.
It’s said that Nissan and Infiniti so far have been already tight lipped about what vehicle they will be bringing in to the market. Some report says that Nissan is already set to use number of Daimler components in their new compact cars which includes Mercedes Benz four and six cylinder engines where we can expect to see both gasoline and diesel variants might as well.
The new Infiniti compact car designed will directly compete with the other brands with similar looks like Audi A3 and Mercedes Benz A Class. According to Magna Steyr they will be producing Infiniti between 50,000 and 60,000 units per annum.
