The Mitsubishi Montero 2012 is almost similar to its predecessor model and features few cosmetic changes on its bulk outfit and spacious interior. Its engine, however, remains the same 3.2L diesel intercooled turbocharger power-mill. Its supportive gearbox and easy-to-maneuver steering poise, the vehicle deals enough on to the toughest terrains. Under the massive and muscular hood of the Mitsubishi Montero 2012 lies a 3200 cc DOHC 16-valve, in-line, 4-cylinder, diesel intercooled turbocharger gives an impressive power of 202 Ps at 3800 rpm and an ultimate torque of 441 Nm at 2000 rpm. The common rail direct engine is paired with 5-speed automatic with sports mode.

With its powerful engine and muscularly build, the toughest terrains is tackled with ease. The Super Select 4WD (SS4-II) technology gives necessary steps to outperform when put on extreme conditions. When off road, it reached a top speed of 174 kmph and runs from 0-100 kmph in mere 15.3 seconds.
