New Pulsar 200NS strike and boost the balance between sporty and practicality
Are you guys (or girls if there is any) looking for a motorcycle that can be used for sports or in practicality? To tell you honestly, that motorcycle would be very rare. That was before the Pulsar 200NS was put into concept and eventually materialize into reality. Just like a sequel to any blockbuster hit, to live up to tall expectations. This is an Indian product, and claims to the inheritance of the family DNA to strike and boost the balance between sporty and practicality. Let us all see what the new Pulsar got.
The latest Pulsar is aggressive and muscular; this street bike if not perused carefully would look a bit like Honda’s CB1000R from the front. The tapered light emits a bright, well focused beam at night, an advantage to other street bikes. The 200NS comes with no clip-on handlebars, comfortable control levers and switchgear that works with crisp feel. Its grips are decent, perfect for street performance. The actual fuel reservoir is hidden below the tank region, deep; to give a properly shaped grooves which provide the NS rider good thigh support. One does not simply miss out the Pulsar’s broad frame spars as they reach down to the swing-arm. It tucks its silencer box neatly away below its engine; this is to keep the center of gravity as low as possible on the bike. The Pulsar 200NS bears much similarity to its previous model when viewed from its tail.
Performance
The four-stroke, 199.5 cc, single-cylinder, Pulsar 200NS engine is based on the KTM 200 Duke platform. Its four-valve head is being powered by a single overhead camshaft, and its combustion chamber is where you can find its three spark plugs. Although it lacks fuel injection, the NS is the first liquid cooled Pulsar engine, and its exhaust system voiced out only a soft punchy note.
Its maximum power is a muscular 23.2bhp at 9500 rpm, and the latest Pulsar is better for 1.86kgm of torque built up at 8000rpm. The compact 6-speed gearbox shifts real smooth, with a precise pattern of one-down, five-up, and the clutch is just way too awesome. The 200NS swipes on the streets smoothly, which delivers a snappy throttle response. The power builds quickly into a strong mid-range, with the top-end feeling really potent almost all the way till the rev limiter cuts in just before 11000rpm.
