The all new 2014 Mazda 6 model is getting high driving impressions from people giving an artificial respiration to Mazda’s credibility and up on the market. This mid-size sedan model has been excellent addition to the team’s collection and a strong potential item accounting for about 74% of the brand’s total sales last month based on Forbes.
Mazda 6 is the second total-vehicle application of the brand to Skyactiv Technology discipline owing essentially nothing to its predecessor and a lot to the CX-5 crossover. Both with significant architectural commonality with the CX-5.
Reducing its mass to 3300 pounds from the previous estimation that maxed out to 3600 pounds, the new model gives a braver and light look not sacrificing it’s structural rigidity.
At 111.4 inches, the new car’s wheelbase is 1.6 inches longer, but overall length has shrunk 2.2 inches, to 191.5, and height is down 0.8 inch, to 57.1. The width remained at 72.4 inches, but the broad shoulder at the front and rear creates a well-built and aggressive look at the stance.
The engine of the new model is all-new and it is also the only engine available, at least for now. Soon a 2.w-liter four-cylinder turbo-diesel will join the power train later this year. The Mazda’s i-LOOP system is now regenerating a very good regenerative braking and the capacitors to reduce the draw on the alternator and enhancing its fuel economy.
It is rated for 184 horsepower at 5700 rpm and 185 lb-ft of torque at 3250, the output is very strong among four other competitors, although not extraordinary. Its fuel economy estimates 25 mpg city/37 highway with a six-speed manual transmission, 26/38 with a six-speed automatic is pretty good for a no hybrid mid-size sedan.
Like its engine, the 6-speed automatic transmission is new. Engineers of this new model have a CVT option before i was decided to have a dual-clutch type a little late for planning success. Why use the dual-clutch? It is to deliver a sportier performance than before.
The safety level of this new model is also good. It is always the first objective of the company to secure your safety.
With these upgrades it always cost a good amount of money but definitely a great buy for a sleek and comfortable ride. Well here’s a specsheet to guide you with the 2014 Mazda 6’s automobile features.
