Ferrari Formula One Show Car, a 2-day event gracing the Activity Center of Ayala Center Cebu, featured on display the Ferrari F10 car.
The racing car is among the fastest circuit-racing cars in the world, at the speed of 320 km/h (200mph) which can only be achieved by using the most high-tech study in the aerodynamics field. It can be described as an open-wheel racing car with substantial front and rear wings, whose engine is positioned right behind the driver. These cars are often use on championships. It is said that the Ferrari F10 cars are constructed by their own racing team, leaving no leak upon its construction.
[xyz-ihs snippet="POSTADS"]Basically, an F10 car has a lot of difference than ordinary cars or sports cars have. They have different engines and it is upgraded annually. F10 cars are run by a 3.0 liter naturally aspirated by V10 engines. Through the help of development, these engines produced between 980 and 1000 horsepower, which reach at the top speeds 370 km/h.
The Ferrari F10 car engine has an engine called Ferrari 056, which is in this case has only 8 cylinders, this type of engine focused on strengthening the inner mass of the engine to reduce the possible risk of reaching its weakness. It has a prevalent angle of 90 degrees. These configurations are exclusive from the productions of V8 designs. It has 32 valves, total displacement of 2398 cm cube, has a piston bore of 98 mm, weighs 95 kilogram, and fueled by Shell V-Power.
Ferrari F10 car uses semi-automatic sequential gearboxes, which is constructed by that of titanium, the reason for having a good bearing surface. The 2010 Ferrari car’s clutch is a multi-plate carbon design with a diameter of less than 100 mm. This what makes up the Ferrari F10, designed to last the entire circuit race. Its aerodynamics specs have been also upgraded. Its wings have been revised. The F10’s diffuser at the central section has been slightly modified; it allows the drivers to take control the level of down-force generated by the wings when it comes at the level of high speeds.
Its wheels have been secured. The FIA have outlawed the use of carbon fiber on wheels, in a move that may be seem going against this outlaw, Ferrari has incorporated an integral aero device into the design of their wheel rim.
The 2010 Ferrari also features a myriad of modifications. Its wheelbase has been stretched in order for it to look longer; this ensures that the car can now fit a larger fuel tank and a longer, narrower gearbox. The car’s front suspension has been drifted backwards to reduce the car’s length, while the front tires have been narrowed to 20 mm. Exhaust pipes also has been realigned. While the past Ferrari’s have their vents carried away from the rear wing, the F10 pipes have been mounted nearer to the front, rather than at the back. This is also one of the highlights of its modified aerodynamics.
The F10’s chassis is composed of the following:
- Carbon-fibre and honeycomb composite structure
- Ferrari longitudinal gearbox
- Limited-slip differential
- Semiautomatic sequential electronically controlled gearbox – quick shift
- Number of gears: 7 +Reverse
- Brembo ventilated carbon-fibre disc brakes
- Independent suspension, push-rod activated torsion springs front and rear
- Weight with water, lubricant and driver: 620 kg
- BBS Wheels (front and rear): 13”
