Honda exhibits the new 2016 Honda Civic concept model at the New York International Auto Show giving the public its first peek of what the highly-anticipated 10th-generation model will look like. With its unveiling crowd had mix emotions about the exterior design due to its sportier look. The 2016 Honda Civic concept design shows muscly image different from the previous models. The 2016 Honda Civic concept also features new LED headlamps flanked by the solid wing grille.
The all-new 2016 Honda Civic concept is aiming to be the example in fuel efficiency, powerful performance, security, safety, and manufacturing productivity. Honda is also targeting for a fuel economy rating of at least 40 miles per gallon with the base model.
The 2016 Honda Civic concept will be introduce with a new family of twin-cam variable valve timing and lift electronic control (VTEC) engines, starting with a 2.0-liter four as the base power plant and a 1.5-liter turbo as the upgrade. A six-speed manual and a continuously variable transmission (CVT) will be the transmission choices.
It’s also expected to be one of the secured and safest in its class featuring technology such as Lane Departure Warning, Multi-Angle Rearview Camera, Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, and Honda Lane Watch.
Honda also published that the 2016 Honda Civic concept will be available in different body styles including sedan and coupe. As well as a five-door hatchback. And aside from the Si model, the US market will also get a mental Type-R version.
